Professional Biography of Dr. Plumb
Dr. Nola K. Plumb holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Liberty University, specializing in Executive Coaching. She also has an MBA from LeTourneau University, specializing in management and leadership. Her doctoral dissertation focused on the intersection of Coaching, Entrepreneurship, and tourism in Tennessee, revealing critical gaps in support for entrepreneurs during transitional periods and highlighting the necessity for enhanced entrepreneurial education and community engagement. Dr. Plumb is dedicated to cultivating thriving entrepreneurial environments and businesses while addressing leadership and local community needs, including education and coaching on entrepreneurship, tourism advancements, life transitions, and personal finance.
To tackle these societal gaps, she founded Local Bridges, a charitable organization dedicated to bridging the gaps identified in her research, as well as providing resources and support for local entrepreneurs. In addition to her academic achievements, Dr. Plumb is a Board Certified Master Life Coach and a distinguished entrepreneur with extensive experience across various industries, including business, construction, technology, training, coaching and consulting, real estate, and tourism. Her background in the legal industry further enriches her perspective and approach to coaching.
As a prolific writer, Dr. Plumb has published numerous articles across various organizations, sharing her knowledge and insights. Fulfilling a Dream
The creation of the Children's Book Series: A Bear's Journey from Memory Lane is a dream come true for Dr. Plumb! It all began when her eldest son was in grade school. Boo Bear, the main character in the first book, was his beloved buddy who accompanied him everywhere. Over time, those stories became cherished memories until Dr. Plumb decided to take a leap of faith and bring that dream to life. The new stories are filled with exciting adventures and valuable lessons about growing up! And, you never know, maybe a few magical surprises in the near future!
